A look back at the European Pinball Championship 2025
A taste of the Austrian Pinball Festival
The European Pinball Championship 2025 (EPC 2025) at the REVA-Halle in Vöcklabruck was the largest pinball event Austria has ever seen. Players from all over Europe traveled here to experience a weekend full of tournaments, community meetups, premieres, and pinball passion together.
For several days, Vöcklabruck was all about pinball — featuring top international players, exciting matches, and an atmosphere that showed just how vibrant and strong the European pinball community is.
Tournaments at the highest level
EPC 2025 offered an extensive tournament program that thrilled both ambitious competitive players and hobbyists alike.
From the warm-up tournament to the main and classic tournaments, as well as special formats, there was something for every playing style.
The combination of professional organization, high-quality tournament machines, and international participation made the event a true highlight on the pinball calendar.
Free play area and community in focus
A special milestone of EPC 2025 was that for the first time, such a large free play area and a community meetup of this quality were possible simultaneously. In addition to the tournaments, visitors could play numerous modern and classic pinball machines for free, exchange ideas, and spend time together.
Manufacturers, collectors, and homebrew designers presented their machines and gave exciting insights into the world of pinball design. This created a mix of competition, exhibition, and community event that many visitors perceived as a particular highlight.
The EPC impressively showed that pinball is more than just a game — it is sport, technology, art, competition, and community all at once.
From championship event to festival
The experiences from the European Pinball Championship are flowing directly into the next big event: the Austrian Pinball Festival (APF).
The tournament structure is deliberately based on the EPC, so players can again expect professional competitions at an international level. At the same time, the community aspect will be even more central at the Austrian Pinball Festival.
In addition to the tournaments, there will be an expanded supporting program — with more opportunities for exchange, trying things out, and experiencing pinball culture together.
At the Austrian Pinball Festival, you can expect:
- A large pinball exhibition with many machines from all generations
- Several IFPA tournaments as part of the Austrian Pinball Masters (APM)
- International guests and manufacturers
- Homebrew projects and particularly exotic machines
- Seminars and community programming
- An event for players, families, and the curious
